PARLAY Savory Saloon is a true labor of love and boasts a menu full of Sanctified Soul Food curated by epicures for epicures. We are set apart by our signature takes on classic comfort foods. Our menu is made with love, filled with comfort, and glazed with Sanctified Soul.
PARLAY offers amazing dining experiences via a Food Truck, as well as Catering, and Concession Stands. The world is craving love, comfort, and balance; all qualities that are the cornerstone of the business. PARLAY Savory Saloon is a restaurant concept, formed in the 3rd quarter of 2019, created by visionaries who were willing to parlay all of their professional experience into building an incredible venue that invites guests to share, savor, sip, and be inclined to parlay.
PARLAY Savory Saloon was created out of both a passion to provide amazing dining and social experiences and to address the current void in the market in Metro-Atlanta for mid-career professionals. PARLAY, because of its unique characteristics, is the prime dining and entertainment solution to:
PARLAY Savory Saloon is a mid-scale, service-driven, local restaurant that differentiates ourselves by consistently exceeding our guests' expectations. We provide a space for guests to feed their bodies, minds, senses, and spirits. Our food comforts, our sips tantalize, our service is unmatched, and our positive energy is contagious. Our guests are sure to return to visit us regularly. That is a bet we are willing to make over and over again!

As PARLAY was in the process of solidifying a brick and mortar location, the temperature of the world literally rose, forcing us to rethink our strategy and adjust the business model. Instead of looking at the challenges as a “setback”, we decided to view them as a “setup” for even greater success! Because of the timing, we were able to be protected from all of the elements that would have made a 1st quarter 2020 opening devastating and essentially impossible. We are blessed and favored beyond measure and are extremely grateful and used the time to be innovative and resourceful. After much processing, prayer, and supplication, we’ve decided to take a phased and multi-market approach to opening:
Phase 1 2020: PARLAY presents reLAX, an intimate private dining experience with plated Savory courses and Sip pairings. These are custom menus created by epicures for epicures. Contact us today and let us curate an event to remember for you and your guests!
Phase 2 2021: PARLAY goes mobile and offers Savory solutions via a Food Truck that will be coming to a neighborhood near you! Contact us today to book!
Phase 3 2022: PARLAY welcomes you to our home base at Presidential Pkwy, Atlanta, GA on July 8, 2022! The Grand Opening will be on August 13, 2022 at 5pm. We can't wait to see you there!

Latrice Rochelle was born and raised in North Philadelphia. She is the proud daughter of restauranteurs, Denise and Charles Wade, who have owned and operated Charlie’s Country Ribs, a neighborhood staple in Philadelphia, for 30+ years. Cooking and entertaining are deeply rooted in her DNA, so it was a natural progression for her to return to her roots after taking on the world.
Latrice Rochelle has a B.A. degree in Economics and Management & Organization from Spelman College.
Post-graduation, she began her professional career as a Management Consultant for one of the top 4 Consulting firms in the world. In 2006, she established her own technology consulting firm, and has experienced tremendous success in the tech space managing multi-million-dollar software implementations and teams.
On a milestone birthday in 2019, Latrice Rochelle decided to take a leap of faith and live on purpose, with purpose, and give birth to a restaurant concept that she had been cultivating for years prior. PARLAY Savory Saloon is a true labor of love that was officially formed in the 3rd quarter of 2019.
Latrice Rochelle has set a clear vision for PARLAY and is hiring a professionally trained and licensed staff to execute the vision. She recognizes the criticality of aligning herself with the best partners possible to ensure PARLAY’s success. Thus, she has partnered with Chef Xavier John, whose approach to soulful cooking and plating is unparalleled and truly awe-inspiring. This SpelHouse collaboration is sure to be a culinary powerhouse and PARLAY, a preferred dining choice for Metro-Atlantans!
Chef Xavier John was born in Bowman, SC. He is the proud son of Reverend John and Shirley Frederick. He attended Bowman public schools and graduated valedictorian of his HS class.
Xavier John has a B.A. degree in Finance from Morehouse College, an MSA in Administration from Central Michigan University, and an MDiv from Luther Rice University.
Post-graduation, Xavier John began his professional career as an accountant with General Motors, one of the world’s largest automotive companies. He worked for over 18 years in the Financial Quality and Production arenas. After leaving, he moved to Atlanta to pursue his culinary passions, only to have it postponed by accepting an assignment as a Plant Manager.
After much prayer, consideration, and confirmation, Xavier John decided to pursue his culinary passions full-time and joined the PARLAY team as the Executive Chef.
Chef Xavier John will be taking epicures on a taste sensory journey through familiar, yet elevated flavors. His food is created with balance and love and will entice you to PARLAY and return to visit us regularly!
